About Our Client
Our client is sourcing an Accounting Specialist for a 12-month contract.

About the Opportunity

Manage the accounting and reporting of customer-related transactions while ensuring financial records are complete and accurate.
Prepare customer billings, monitor outstanding balances, and assist with account inquiries.
Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, including preparation of financial reports and working papers.
Perform reconciliations for various general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies as required.
Record and reconcile transactions between related business entities.
Assist with government funding applications and other financial incentive programs where applicable.
Monitor cash activity and support day-to-day treasury functions.
Coordinate indirect tax filings and assist with corporate compliance requirements.
Participate in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the finance function.

About You

Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional accounting designation, or working toward completion, is considered an asset.
Several years of progressive accounting experience within a corporate environment.
Strong understanding of financial reporting principles and accounting best practices.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Advanced spreadsheet skills and proficiency with accounting software.
Experience working with integrated financial systems is preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across the business.
