Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and contribute to a clean and organized kitchen. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience in the food industry and developing their skills in a professional kitchen setting.

Duties

Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and maintaining cooking stations
Help with food handling and storage to ensure freshness and safety standards are met
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment throughout the shift
Support meal preparation and plating as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
Ensure proper food safety procedures are followed at all times
Assist with serving food to customers or dining areas as needed
Restock supplies and organize kitchen storage areas for efficiency

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant, food service, or kitchen environment is preferred but not required
Familiarity with food handling, safety protocols, and basic cooking techniques is advantageous
Experience with meal preparation and working in the food industry will be considered a plus
Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
Willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and kitchen operations
