Russel Metals Inc. is currently seeking an individual for the full-time permanent position of Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) in our Halifax, NS location. This position plays a key role in maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient operations through equipment maintenance and repair.

Please note - our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo a pre-employment medical.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment
Install and maintain mechanical and hydraulic systems
Operate basic machine shop equipment, including lathes and drill presses
Use welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively
Perform preventative maintenance and complete required documentation
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and procedures

Education and Skills Required:

Valid Industrial Millwright Certificate of Qualification (or equivalent Red Seal certification)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Previous experience working on overhead cranes, metal profile cutting machines, automated metal saws and press brakes would be considered an asset.

Schedule: This position is primarily day shift. Occasional call-ins and weekend work may be required and will be compensated as overtime.

Compensation will be based on experience and training.
