Virtual Prescribing Physician
About Us
PhysioChiroWellness is an integrated healthcare clinic with locations in Vaughan and Newmarket, Ontario. Our multidisciplinary team includes Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy, Naturopathy, and Rehabilitation Therapy services.
We are seeking a licensed Ontario Physician to provide virtual consultations for patients requiring medical prescriptions and requisition forms related to conservative healthcare products and services.
Position Overview
This is a flexible virtual position designed to support patients who may benefit from physician-authorized healthcare products and medical management.
Consultations are conducted virtually and may require completion of requisitions for:
- Custom Orthotics
- Orthopaedic Bracing
- Compression Stockings
- TENS Units
- Diagnostic Imaging
- Prescription medications (when clinically appropriate)
Patients are typically referred internally by our healthcare team following clinical assessment and identification of medical necessity.
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual patient consultations.
- Review patient history and clinical findings.
- Complete requisition forms and related documentation.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
- Follow all applicable CPSO, OHIP, and provincial regulations.
Qualifications
- Licensed Physician in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
- Eligible to provide virtual care services in Ontario.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Interest in musculoskeletal medicine, pain management, rehabilitation, and conservative care is considered an asset.
Availability
- Part-Time (1-2 days per week)
Compensation
- Independent Contractor Position.
- Flexible scheduling.
- Work remotely from anywhere in Ontario.
