Job Description
Job Title: Fabricator (Day Shift 7:00am to 3:30pm) Pay Rate ($24.50 to $26.00)
Position Summary - The Fabricator is responsible for reading and interpreting shop drawings, measuring and preparing materials, and fabricating components according to specifications, quality standards, and production schedules. The successful candidate will operate fabrication equipment, perform assembly work, and ensure all finished products meet company and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and specifications.
· Measure, cut, drill, punch, grind, and prepare materials for fabrication.
· Assemble fabricated components using hand and power tools.
· Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
· Inspect materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
· Maintain production schedules and meet established deadlines.
· Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
· Identify and report material shortages, equipment issues, and quality concerns.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company safety standards.
· Follow all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
· Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
· Work collaboratively with supervisors, production staff, and other departments.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Minimum 2 years of fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
· Experience working with aluminum, steel, stainless steel, or other metal products is considered an asset.
Working Conditions
· Manufacturing and production environment,
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
· Exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
· Standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements throughout the shift.
· Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, and other equipment as required.
