We’re seeking a Project Manager at the Senior Consultant level to join our Pension Administration Solutions team. This team partners closely with clients and internal collaborators to deliver tailored solutions and lead strategic internal projects. Whether you're an experienced project manager eager to explore pension administration, or a pension administration expert with strong project leadership skills, this role offers a dynamic and exciting path forward.

What the day will look like
The Senior Pension Administration Consultant is responsible for leading operational performance for assigned clients and is expected to meet and exceed established contractual performance standards and operational metrics. This role coordinates the timely completion of all work in progress and ensures that quality meets both client and member expectations.
Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and project management, as well as capacity and utilization management, task delegation to achieve objectives, and monitoring the status of ongoing work. The incumbent is responsible for identifying operational improvements that will drive year-over-year efficiency gains for their client group.
This position also serves as a resource for clients, administrators, and all internal centralized support units that support day-to-day operations. The role manages written and verbal client communications. It also facilitates meetings and leads ad hoc discussions. Sometimes, it serves as the primary client contact.
- Develop, maintain and implement a clear project management plan for defining the processes and procedures for how the project will be planned, delivered and controlled.

Manage and negotiate budget and related resource time with leadership to establish a baseline.

Lead and coordinate with the project partners to define project scope, results, schedules, budgets, and quality measures in alignment with the sales contract and statement of work.

Develop a coordinated project timeline encompassing the full project scope to efficiently achieve results with the involvement of the client, project team, and leadership.

Establish a project communication and governance framework to deliver clear, consistent, and accurate progress reports regularly to different client and internal team members.

Work with the client to review schedules, status updates, problems, and plans to align, understand their requirements, and ensure successful resolution.

Anticipate potential issues and ensure timely mitigation plans are developed and reviewed with the required project team members.

Recognize differences, collaborate with subject matter experts to develop suggested corrective action plans, and promptly raise project variation to guarantee projects remain on schedule and within budget.

Control scope by implementing and monitoring a change control process and providing mentorship to the team on the impacts of scope creep.

Drive improvement in execution initiatives within the project management domain. Bring together lessons learned throughout and during the closing of a project.

Adhere to the project manager's approach to maintain consistency across all implementation projects.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
The Project Manager demonstrates a high degree of autonomy: they structure and manage their work independently without close supervision, proactively identify and communicate obstacles and schedule variances, provide realistic estimates that they consistently meet, and take full ownership of delivering work to the expected quality standards while adapting quickly to evolving priorities and audiences.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Project Management, Business Administration, Mathematics, Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

PMP certification or a project management certification/designation of similar standing.

7+ years of proven experience managing implementation, transformation, or complex solution delivery projects, including delivery to external clients, client governance, and executive reporting.

Proven ability to quickly and independently learn a new area of expertise (e.g., pension plan administration).

Relevant experience in pension administration is considered a strong asset.

Microsoft Excel – Advanced level

Smartsheet – Advanced level

SharePoint: site architecture, document libraries, document management, version control, and permissions management.

Microsoft Teams, executive-level PowerPoint, Power Automate (asset), and Copilot and other AI tools for productivity.

Familiarity with MS Project or another traditional project scheduling tool is an asset.

Ability to establish and coordinate their own work framework. They take the initiative to build logs, schedules, and checkpoints without prompting. They proactively communicate progress and call out issues early when roadblocks arise.

Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in persuasion, influence, and negotiation.

Demonstrated capability to influence indirect collaborators and shared services functions to achieve client objectives.
