Southlake Health is seeking a proactive customer service driven People Experience Associate to join our Total Rewards and People Operations team, to provide operational support and deliver high quality people services that enhance the employee experience across the hospital.
In this role, you will play an important part in delivering an exceptional employee experience by supporting employees throughout the full employee lifecycle and serving as a key point of contact for People Culture & Experience operations. You will provide day-to-day support in areas including total rewards administration, benefits and pension programs, HR systems management, employee record management, process improvement initiatives, and general people operations support.
This position is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys operational excellence, delivering high-quality service, improving processes, and creating positive employee experiences in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
As a member of the broader People, Culture & Experience team, you will directly contribute to creating a seamless and positive employee experience across Southlake Health. You will help ensure employees are supported throughout key moments in their employment journey while maintaining efficient HR operations and helping improve the systems and processes that support our people.
This is a 14-month contract replacement position.
What you‘ll be doing
- Support the administration of HR programs, including but not limited to employee benefits, pension enrollment, and other employee lifecycle event administration.
- Maintain accurate employee data within HR systems, processing employee lifecycle transactions including new hires, transfers, salary changes, leaves of absence, and terminations.
- Provide day-to-day HR systems support, including troubleshooting employee access issues, performing data audits, maintaining system integrity, and generating operational reports.
- Support the delivery of a positive employee experience by serving as a first point of contact for employee and manager inquiries through phone, email, and in person for to employee inquiries related to benefits, pension, compensation, retirement, and employee programs, while coordinating with external benefit and pension providers as required.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with organizational policies, confidentiality standards, and records management requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process efficiencies, updating standard operating procedures, and developing employee support resources such as guides, FAQs, and process documentation.
- Support departmental administration internal communications, policy maintenance, reporting, and other operational activities that contribute to effective People Operations service delivery.
What You‘ll Bring
- Completion of post-secondary education from an accredited institution in a related field; CHRP designation is considered an asset
- Minimum 2 years of recent Human Resources experience, preferably in a unionized healthcare or complex organizational environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience supporting employee benefits administration, pension administration, compensation programs, HR operations, and employee lifecycle transactions
- Strong knowledge of HR operational processes and employee support services
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience working with HR systems; Workday experience is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively within a team environment
