Position Summary
The Reporting, Evaluation, and Data Integration (REDI) Supervisor reports to and coordinates with the Strategy and Performance Lead to identify, prioritize, and set direction for Mosaic’s REDI team.
This position oversees the daily execution of Mosaic PCN's reporting, evaluation, research, and data integration activities. The REDI Supervisor works closely with the Strategy and Performance Lead and consults directly with leaders and employees across the organization to support program reporting, evaluation, and data needs.
In addition to the technical aspects of the position, the REDI Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day people management of the REDI team including task supervision and assignments, performance reviews, scheduling, and coaching.
This position requires the ability to create strong working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization, and the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion regarding the handling and dissemination of internal and external information.
Responsibilities
Operational Oversight & Planning
- In coordination with the Strategy and Performance Lead, oversees the day-to-day operations of the REDI team and function.
- Stays up to date on emerging trends and consults with the Strategy and Performance Lead as required.
- Supports the hiring, orientation, and ongoing development of REDI team members to maintain a high standard of performance.
- Identifies day-to-day challenges and opportunities and contributes to the development of practical approaches that support achieving team and functional objectives.
People Management
- Provides day to day supervision and mentorship to REDI team members, ensuring clarity in roles and work expectations.
- Approves work schedules, timecards, and staff vacation periods.
- Schedules and leads regular team meetings and regular one-on-one supervisory meetings with team members.
- Conducts periodic probationary reviews and performance evaluations of the REDI team.
- Coaches team members towards team and individual development goals.
- Responsible for the recruitment, onboarding/off boarding, orientation and training.
- Ensures OHS and workplace safety practices are followed.
Systems and Processes
- Monitors systems and controls to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and privacy of REDI outputs, and supports the safeguarding of REDI's data and reporting assets.
- Documents and maintains reporting, evaluation, and data integration processes to ensure consistent achievement of desired outcomes.
Evaluation Planning and Development
- Partners with Leadership and staff across the organization on reporting, evaluation, and data needs (in alignment with Program Accountability Frameworks), including supporting the development of program logic models.
- Supports the use of evaluation data to inform program offerings and enhancements.
- Coordinates with other Primary Care Network representatives and other external partners to deliver Mosaic and pan-PCN program evaluations and research projects.
Analysis and Reporting
- Leads the REDI team in leveraging integrated solutions for data collection, analytics, and measurement.
- Supports the development and review of standardized reports on progress and outcomes for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Coordinates evaluation deliverables and timelines, including quarterly, annual, and real-time reporting requirements as defined in collaboration with the Strategy and Performance Lead.
- Leads members of the REDI team to deliver on evaluation projects and surveys.
Evaluation Capacity Building and Knowledge Translation
- Supports evaluation capacity building and a culture of continuous quality improvement within the REDI team and in day-to-day interactions with leaders and staff.
- Supports the organization select, understand, collect, interpret, and use data.
- Provides ad hoc reporting support to Mosaic Managers and programs.
- Translates program data into accessible communications for various audiences.
- Represents REDI in meetings and committees (internal and external), contributing the evaluation perspective.
Data Integration
- Leads and supports the team to maintain and troubleshoot internally built applications.
- Leads and supports the team to develop processes and automations supporting efficient clinical and business operations.
- Provides solutions on identified research/evaluation issues.
Quality Improvement
- Leads members of the REDI team to implement procedures for high quality data and support the organization to apply these standards.
- Supports the adoption of a culture of continuous quality improvement within the REDI team.
- Supports the success of the REDI team through the identification and documentation of key successes and challenges and contributes mitigating approaches.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, data engineering, statistics, computer science or other data-related discipline that includes a strong grounding in data engineering, analytics, and visualization.
- Alternatively, an appropriate combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Education:
- Master's degree in a related field of study.
Experience:
Required Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in research and evaluation, including data collection, management, analysis, and reporting.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Experience supporting program planning, quality improvement, and change management required.
- Experience with SQL Server, Python and/or R, Looker, Tableau, and Power BI
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
- Strong operational and tactical thinking skills. Able to translate direction from the Strategy and Performance Lead into day-to-day team execution.
- Excellent communication skills; able to share and explain evaluation concepts and results to various audiences. Able to share information with others in a tactful manner while maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to leverage business intelligence platforms (Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent organizational, time management, and project coordination skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research and evaluation methods, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other statistical software such as Python, R, or SAS.
- Able to thrive in a dynamic team environment by incorporating group problem solving.
- Strong relationship building skills both internally and externally.
Assets
- Graduate degree in health sciences is considered an asset.
- Change management training/certification.
- Experience leading staff in a unionized work environment is an asset.
Working Conditions
- Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
- Ability to travel on public transportation or valid driver's license with access to own car in good repair is required.
