Position Summary
CSN Champlain is seeking a highly organized, forward-thinking Production Flow & Continuous Improvement Coordinator to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving problems before they happen, improving processes, and creating consistency in a fast-paced production environment. Think of this position as preventative maintenance for the repair process—you are responsible for identifying risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies before they impact cycle time, quality, or customer experience.
Working closely with Repair Planners, Technicians, Parts Coordinators, Customer Service Representatives, and Leadership, you will oversee repair flow from blueprint through delivery, ensuring every vehicle progresses efficiently through the system while maintaining quality and production standards.
Success in this role requires exceptional relationship-building skills, strong operational awareness, a positive attitude, and the ability to bring people together around common goals.
Primary ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Flow Management

Coordinate daily production activities to ensure balanced workload and consistent vehicle movement throughout the repair process.

Monitor repair plans, production schedules, and vehicle status to identify potential delays before they occur.

Ensure vehicles are properly staged, prioritized, and positioned for continuous workflow.

Collaborate with Repair Planners to validate repair readiness and eliminate production interruptions.

Maintain visibility of all vehicles in process and proactively resolve barriers impacting cycle time.
Continuous Improvement & Process Excellence

Identify bottlenecks, recurring delays, and process breakdowns.

Develop and implement solutions that improve efficiency, throughput, and overall repair performance.

Audit repair processes and operational procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.

Support the development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Promote lean production principles and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the shop.
Repair Planning Support

Work closely with Repair Planners to ensure repair plans are complete, accurate, and executable.

Verify parts availability, repair sequencing, and production readiness.

Assist in identifying hidden damage risks and repair challenges before production begins.

Help maintain blueprinting standards that support efficient vehicle flow.
Team Collaboration & Support

Build strong working relationships with technicians, estimators, insurers, vendors, and production staff.

Serve as a resource and support system for technicians throughout the repair process.

Facilitate communication between departments to ensure alignment and accountability.

Foster a positive, solutions-focused culture centered on teamwork and continuous improvement.
Performance Monitoring

Track and analyze key production metrics, including cycle time, touch time, work in progress, and throughput.

Conduct regular production reviews and operational audits.

Identify trends and opportunities for improvement using data-driven decision making.

Support leadership with operational planning and performance initiatives.
Quality & Customer Experience

Support quality assurance processes throughout the repair journey.

Ensure repairs progress according to established standards and timelines.

Contribute to a repair experience that exceeds customer expectations through consistency, communication, and operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 5 years of collision repair industry experience.

Strong understanding of collision repair processes, blueprinting, parts management, and production flow.

Experience in repair planning, production coordination, process improvement, or operational leadership preferred.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

Proficient with management systems and production tracking tools.

Valid driver's license.
