Choy Foong International Trading Co. Inc. is a wholesale supplier committed to providing the best quality products. We serve over 2000 Asian products to supermarkets, restaurants, wholesalers, and convenience stores in Ontario, Quebec, and other provinces in Canada. We supply grocery products such as rice, canned goods, snacks, sauce, and frozen food.

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently handling materials, utilizing pump trucks and high reach forklifts. This role requires mechanical knowledge, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and the ability to perform order picking and heavy lifting. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced distribution environment with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Operate pump trucks and high reach forklifts to move dry and frozen inventory
Load and unload goods from trucks, pallets, or storage areas
Perform order picking tasks accurately using warehouse management systems
Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning
Assist with inventory management by organizing stock and maintaining accurate records in warehouse (including cold storage)
Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
Engage in heavy lifting as required to handle large or bulky items
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
Perform other duties and tasks as requested

Requirements

Valid forklift certification and experience operating pump trucks and high reach forklifts
2 years of experience in warehouse or distribution centre (preferred)
Language: English, Mandarin or Cantonese
Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues
Basic math skills for inventory counts and measurements
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory control
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods during shifts

Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:00 AM to 6:00 PM)

Expected Hours: 50 hours per week

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
