Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our team in maintaining and supporting our state-of-the-art data center operations. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining critical infrastructure components to ensure seamless data flow and network performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer networking, hardware, and telecommunication systems, with a focus on data center environments. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals eager to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, Ethernet cabling, and switches.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on computer hardware, servers, and telecommunication equipment such as VoIP systems and Avaya platforms.
Monitor CCTV systems to ensure security and operational integrity.
Use hand tools and schematics to perform installations, repairs, and upgrades of physical infrastructure components.
Assist with the setup and testing of electrical systems related to data center operations.
Document network configurations, schematics, and system layouts accurately for future reference.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement new technology solutions and improve existing systems.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they impact operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience working in a data center environment or similar technical setting.
Strong knowledge of computer networking protocols, Ethernet standards, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and VoIP systems.
Hands-on experience with computer hardware installation and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with CCTV systems, schematics reading, telecommunication setups such as Avaya or similar platforms.
Ability to use hand tools effectively for physical installations or repairs.
Electrical experience is preferred to support power systems within the data center.
Knowledge of Data Center infrastructure best practices is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
