POSITION SUMMARY
Personal Support Workers (PSWs) report to the Client Services Coordinator and are responsible for delivering high-quality care that enables clients to remain safe and comfortable in their own homes. Care is provided in accordance with individualized care plans.

WHAT WE OFFER
- $20.00 plus $3.00 wage enhancements where applicable

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Prepare meals and provide medication reminders
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and outings as required
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Offer respite care for families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic charting systems
- Monitor and report changes in client health or home environment
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Farsi speaking is a MUST
- Additional languages are considered an asset
- Reliable transportation (car or transit) to travel between client locations
- Personal Support Worker Certificate from a recognized Ontario program
- For private career colleges, NACC certification is required
- Equivalent credentials (RPN, RN, or internationally trained healthcare professionals) will be considered
- Previous PSW experience is an asset
- Access to a mobile phone and internet
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within the last 6 months)
- Current CPR and First Aid certification from a WSIB approved provider
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Screen (within the last 12 months) from local police department
IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS
- COVID-19 (full vaccination required)
- MMR, Tdap, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B (full vaccination is required)
