Compensation: This is a 100% commission-only role with no base salary or guaranteed hourly wage.

Location: Alberta (Remote / Field-Based)

Position Type: Independent Contractor (B2B / Sole Proprietor)

Compensation: Competitive commission structure on gross agency booking fees, plus a performance-driven fiscal year-end profit-sharing bonus upon meeting managed revenue thresholds.

Through Blue Willow Live, we help venues, businesses, event organizers, and community partners create meaningful live music experiences while supporting artists and strengthening local music communities. As we continue to grow, we are seeking motivated, self-directed professionals to join our Blue Willow Live Agent Network across Alberta.

About The Role

Blue Willow Live Agents act as autonomous business development partners and local ambassadors for the Blue Willow ecosystem. In this independent role, you will build and manage your own portfolio of clients, cultivating relationships with venues, businesses, event organizers, and community partners to scale live music programming and strategic partnerships.

As an independent contractor, you retain full control over your schedule, working hours, and sales methods, serving as the primary commercial engine for your territory.

Key Responsibilities

Venue Acquisition & Development: Independently identify, pitch, and secure new venue partners; lead discovery meetings and negotiate booking structures.
Account Management: Direct ongoing partner relationships, coordinate recurring events, and identify expansion opportunities within your accounts.
Contract Negotiation: Lead venue onboarding, ensuring secure execution of single-event bookings and long-term exclusive or committed booking contracts.
Community & B2B Expansion: Identify and capture revenue opportunities with regional community events, festivals, corporate spaces, and hospitality groups.
Portfolio Administration: Independently manage sales pipelines, execute client outreach, and issue monthly service invoices to the agency for cleared bookings.

Who We're Looking For

To thrive in this independent contractor capacity and align with Alberta standards for self-employed professionals, you must possess an entrepreneurial mindset and supply your own standard tools of the trade (e.g., computer, phone, vehicle, home office).

You are a strong fit if you are:

Commercially Driven: Highly self-motivated, comfortable working without daily oversight, and eager to build a business-within-a-business.
An Expert Communicator: Professional, organized, and skilled at B2B networking, contract negotiation, and relationship management.
Passionate: Invested in economic development, hospitality management, and expanding the live music ecosystem.

Experience in any of the following areas is highly valued:

Hospitality, Restaurant, or Bar Management
Corporate Event Planning, Entertainment, or Tourism Sales
B2B Business Development, Account Management, or Sponsorships
Marketing, CRM workflows, and Regional Brand Activation

Previous music industry experience is welcome but not required; we value raw commercial drive and relationship-building talent above all.
