Company Description

Fortune Creek IDA Pharmacy is independently owned and operated and proudly serves Armstrong and the surrounding area. Our goal is to provide our patients with all their pharmacy needs including in-house Compounding, Compliance Pill Packaging, Home Health Care and Medical Supplies.

Our company culture is one that promotes a positive work environment and work-life balance. This pharmacy is open 9 – 6 during the week, 9-5 on Saturday, and 10-4 on Sundays. The staff is made up of multiple assistants, including registered techs, trained compounding staff, and a lead assistant with over 25 years of experience and advanced diabetes training.

Our pharmacists at this store have served the Armstrong community for decades and know the patients, local doctors, and care facility staff well.

We DO NOT impose any quotas for clinical services upon our pharmacists.

We offer a competitive hourly wage based on experience level, a comprehensive benefits package including life insurance and disability insurance, signing bonus, relocation allowance, and coverage of your pharmacy dues.

Being independently owned and operated means you have the ability to work with the owner and management team to quickly make decisions and resolve any issues or concerns.

You will receive plenty of support from a local management team including Human Resources and scheduling support, IT support, and front store support just to mention a few areas.

Job Description

We offer a positive team environment and being located in a smaller community allows you to easily collaborate with physicians in the area. This allows our pharmacists to provide our patients with exceptional care.

As the Pharmacy Manager you will be responsible for all the day to day operations of the pharmacy including being in compliance with all bylaws of the College of Pharmacists of B.C. The Pharmacy Manager will also be responsible for the following:

Direct supervision of the pharmacy staff
Accountable for the day to day operations and profitability of the pharmacy
Completing minor ailment consults, vaccines administration and other clinical services
Working with the management team to identify strategies in maintaining the current business operations and identifying opportunities for growth
Managing adequate inventory levels
Preparation of reports for the management team

The successful candidate will have:

A license to be a practicing pharmacist in the province of British Columbia
Management skills and the ability to motivate others
Good verbal and written communication skills
Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Exceptional customer service skills
Interest in in-house compounding
Good organizational skills and the ability to multi task
Previous management experience is an asset
Ability to build a business using community based marketing strategies
