Hofmann Construction Ltd. is a family-run residential construction company based in North Saanich. We work on custom homes, new builds, renovations, additions, decks, and other residential construction projects throughout Greater Victoria, Oak Bay, and the Saanich Peninsula.
We are looking for a Carpenter to join our team.
This position is best suited for someone with solid residential construction experience who is reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in quality workmanship. We are a small team, so every person plays an important role. We are looking for someone who shows up ready to work, communicates well, pays attention to the details, and cares about doing the job properly from start to finish.
This is a hands-on position with a variety of work, not the same task every day. The right person should be comfortable working on renovations, framing, additions, decks, exterior work, and general residential carpentry.

Responsibilities
Duties may include:
- Framing, forming, backing, blocking, sheathing, and general carpentry
- Renovation work, additions, decks, and exterior structures
- Installing windows, doors, trim, siding, and other building components
- Assisting with layout, measurements, and material planning
- Reading plans and following project details
- Working safely and keeping the job site clean and organized
- Communicating with the team about materials, site conditions, and next steps
- Supporting apprentices and labourers when needed
- Helping maintain a professional job site and a good client experience
Requirements
- Residential carpentry experience required
- Red Seal certification is an asset, but not required
- Registered apprentices with strong experience may also be considered
- Strong understanding of safe work practices
- Ability to work efficiently without constant supervision
- Reliable transportation required
- Own basic hand tools preferred
- Ability to lift materials and perform physical construction work
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Must be reliable, respectful, and professional
