Position Summary
As a Market Cashier/Server, you will be a key member of our Food & Beverage team, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for guests. This role involves processing transactions, taking food and beverage orders, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will also support operations at Bunkers, our on-course shop, ensuring golfers have access to snacks and refreshments while enjoying their game.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers warmly, creating a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits.

Process customer orders and payments accurately using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.

Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously, adhering to service standards.

Adhere to ProServe standards and all local alcohol service regulations, verifying identification and ensuring responsible service.

Provide attentive service at Bunkers, ensuring golfers have access to refreshments.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in both the market and Bunkers, following health and safety regulations.

Conduct inventory counts and assist with restocking shelves and rotating products.

Routinely check product use-by dates, removing expired items and reporting discrepancies.

Address guest inquiries and concerns professionally, escalating issues when necessary.

Collaborate with kitchen staff and fellow team members to ensure smooth operations.

Inform guests about daily specials and promotions, encouraging sales.

Follow shift instructions, including cleaning, table setting, and collecting materials from other departments.

Assist in other areas of the Resort as needed.

Reconcile transaction lists from credit card machines with POS records.

Prepare deposit envelopes, record deposit amounts, and complete safe depository procedures.

Document and report incidents or accidents that occur during service.
Requirements

Eligible to work in Canada.

ProServe certification required (or willingness to obtain).

Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally, 30lbs frequently, and 20lbs constantly.

Previous experience in customer service, retail, or food & beverage preferred.

Strong customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Comfortable working in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.
Duration: This is a Full-Time seasonal position, April to October. Overtime during busy periods may be required.
