Job Overview

Rise Baking is unlocking an incredible opportunity for growth through a focus on production innovation capabilities, through a leading-edge supply chain practice and investing deeply in communities where we bake. We are hiring to build a robust Talent and Development team to support our bakeries and Team Members.
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Workers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our facility. Your efforts will help ensure a safe and hygienic environment for both employees and customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

WAGE: start $21.00/hour, plus shift premiums of an extra $0.75 /hour (applicable between 6pm-12am) and $1.00/hour (applicable between 12am-6am) and benefits

Night shift (10pm-6:30am)

Applicant must have a flexible schedule Sunday-Saturday and be available to work weekends

Responsibilities:

Maintain the cleanliness of the production floor and surrounding area.
Use cleaning equipment (scrapers, brushes, pads, vacuums, scrub machine, compressed air, power washers) to clean production floors, ceilings, walls of the bakery (warehouse, freezer, refrigerators, packing and production).
Be responsible for locks out, dismantling, cleaning and sanitizing of production machines as required in accordance with master sanitation schedule and standard operating procedures
Adhere to cleaning procedures in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices Standards and Health and Safety guidelines
Collect waste and recyclable materials from production area and dispose of them
Assist in the cleaning of any major spills of liquid or dry product as needed
Perform specialized cleaning procedures in accordance with master sanitation schedule
Comply with all applicable legislative and Weston Bakeries food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Must be flexible to work afternoon/night shift including weekends and overtime as required.
Ideally, 1 year or more of Sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment but not required.
Comfortable working with sanitizing agents and chemicals
Quick learner and able to adapt to new skills and methods quickly and easily.
Forward thinking and ability to problem solve.
Good communication skills, interpersonal skills and must be able to work in a team environment.
Ability to follow directions from Supervisory Staff.
Work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
