As we continue to expand across North America, we are seeking a driven, results-oriented Key Account Sales Manager to help grow our presence within food packaging distributors, restaurant supply distributors, produce packaging distributors, greenhouse growers, and produce shippers.
This role combines strategic account management, business development, and territory growth, making it ideal for a sales professional who enjoys building relationships, solving customer challenges, and driving measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow an assigned territory while achieving and exceeding annual sales targets.
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across North America.
- Expand existing customer relationships and increase market share within key accounts.
- Build, maintain, and manage a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market research.
- Develop strong relationships with distributors, produce shippers, greenhouse growers, foodservice operators, and other key industry stakeholders.
- Conduct customer visits, product presentations, and business reviews to identify opportunities and strengthen partnerships.
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to develop effective sales strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, manufacturing partners, and customer service personnel to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Provide product recommendations, technical guidance, and packaging solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and commercial agreements, and manage opportunities through the complete sales cycle.
- Represent Firstbox Solutions at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer events.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM records, and activity reports.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of sales growth, territory development, and business development success.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development.
- Experience in food packaging, produce packaging, foodservice, manufacturing, distribution, or related industries is preferred.
- Strong understanding of packaging materials, plastics, food packaging products, or manufacturing processes.
- Experience selling through distribution channels and/or managing strategic key accounts.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, negotiate effectively, and close profitable business.
- Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, accountable, resilient, and highly organized.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly throughout North America.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is considered an asset.
Preferred Experience
- Existing relationships with food packaging distributors, restaurant supply distributors, produce packaging distributors, greenhouse growers, produce shippers, or major foodservice operators across North America.
- Proven experience managing distributor networks and developing strategic channel partnerships.
- Established industry contacts with the ability to generate new business opportunities through existing relationships and market knowledge.
- Experience working with national accounts, multi-location customers, or large distribution organizations.
- Strong understanding of North American food packaging and produce packaging markets.
