OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
We’re looking for experienced Solution Architects to design and guide the delivery of complex, integrated solutions on Microsoft Azure. These roles are hands-on and delivery-focused, requiring strong technical depth alongside the ability to align business goals with scalable, secure architectures.
You will play a key role in a large-scale healthcare transformation program, ensuring interoperability and cohesion across applications, data, and integration layers.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:
- Design end-to-end solution architectures across application, data, and integration domains in Azure
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions
- Define target architectures, transition states, and technical roadmaps
- Lead architecture decisions across multi-system, highly integrated environments
- Ensure alignment across application, data, security, and infrastructure architectures
- Drive API-first design and integration strategies, ensuring interoperability between systems
- Guide delivery teams, providing hands-on architectural oversight while enabling developers and engineers
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technical domains to ensure alignment and clarity
- Embed security, privacy, and compliance considerations into all solution designs
WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience leading large-scale solution architecture initiatives within complex enterprise environments
- Strong experience designing end-to-end solutions in Microsoft Azure
- Deep understanding of:
- API-first design
- Integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven)
- Interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7)
- Hands-on experience with key Azure services such as:
- API Management
- App Services
- Azure Functions
- Event Hub/messaging services
- Experience defining solution architecture, roadmaps, and transition states
- Strong understanding of security, privacy, and compliance, especially in regulated environments
- Ability to work closely with delivery teams while maintaining architectural oversight
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare or public sector transformation programs
- Familiarity with Power Platform and when to use low-code vs custom development
- Exposure to event-driven and microservices architectures
