Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food service. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about the food industry, with a focus on meal preparation, food safety, and excellent service. The Kitchen Assistant will play a vital part in ensuring smooth kitchen operations, assisting with food handling, cooking, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and assisting chefs during meal service
Handle food safely by following proper hygiene and sanitation protocols
Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and efficient manner
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment to ensure a safe working environment
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and storage
Support the team during busy service times, ensuring timely delivery of meals

Skills

Experience in serving or food preparation within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
Knowledge of food handling safety standards and practices
Ability to assist with cooking and meal preparation efficiently
Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food industry standards
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant experience is advantageous but not required
