Product Data Specialist – PART TIME - Saskatoon
What we are looking for:
Aquifer Distribution Ltd. is looking to add a Product Data Specialist to our growing team! This role is responsible for the accurate creation, maintenance, organization, and governance of product data across company systems. The Product Data Specialist ensures product information is complete, consistent, and up to date within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Product Information Management (PIM), and other business systems. This position supports business operations through the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of product information and plays a critical role in ensuring product information is maintained with a high degree of accuracy and consistency, supporting efficient business processes and data integrity across the organization.
Strong competencies with technology, advanced Excel skills, problem solving, and attention to detail are essential for this position. Experience with SQL, ERP systems, Product Information Management (PIM) systems, and data management processes are considered assets. An aptitude for learning new systems and technologies is important for success in this role.

What you can expect from the job:
- Create, update, and maintain product records within ERP, PIM, and related systems.
- Manage product information including SKUs, part numbers, descriptions, specifications, attributes, keywords, UPCs, product categories, and product hierarchies.
- Coordinate new product setup and process product additions, modifications, consolidations, and discontinuations in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure product information remains current, complete, and aligned across all applicable systems.
- Monitor product data integrity across systems and manage SKU merges and data clean-up activities to maintain accurate and consistent product records.
- Conduct regular audits of product data to identify and correct inaccuracies, inconsistencies, missing information, and duplicate records.
- Investigate and resolve product data issues in a timely manner.
- Develop, document, and maintain product data standards, naming conventions, workflows, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with established data governance practices and internal controls.
- Monitor data quality metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives related to product data management.
- Support system testing, data validation, imports, and other activities related to the management of product information within ERP, PIM, and related systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to obtain, validate, and maintain product information.
- Provide guidance and training to users on product data standards, processes, and system functionality.
- Other duties as assigned.
This role is a part-time position offering about 15 – 20 hours per week with remote work options.
What is required:
- Minimum grade 12 graduate
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Experience with SQL is considered an asset
- Experience with or aptitude for learning ERP systems; experience with Eclipse is considered an asset
- Strong computer and technology skills required
- Experience working with ERP, PIM, inventory management, database, or related business systems is considered an asset
- Experience maintaining large volumes of data with a high degree of accuracy is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve data issues effectively
- Valid driver's license required
