Finance Services Admin within AVP Planning & Performance is currently seeking a Full-time Regular Senior Finance Systems Analyst.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Finance Services (FP&A), the Senior Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for the design, development, and sustainment of the University's
Oracle EPM Cloud environment from a Finance perspective.
This role operates at the intersection of finance and technology, supporting institutional FP&A processes through system configuration, automation, and integration. The position requires deep technical expertise in Oracle EPM combined with strong financial knowledge. The position works in close partnership with the Applications Support Services team within IT, leveraging their expertise in system infrastructure, platform administration, and enterprise integration. The role is focused on translating Finance requirements into system solutions, while collaborating with IT to ensure stability, scalability, and alignment with enterprise architecture.
Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):
Oracle EPM Application Development

Design, develop, and maintain EPM applications across modules such as Workforce, Capital, Financials, Projects, and Strategic Modeling.

Develop and maintain business rules using Groovy and Calc Script.

Build and maintain input forms, dashboards, and reporting solutions.

Ensure alignment between system design and FP&A requirements.
System Administration & Data Management
-
Support administration activities related to EPM applications, working in coordination with IT on security, metadata, and system configurations.

Troubleshoot business process issues, data discrepancies, and user-reported challenges, escalating or partnering with IT where required.

Collaborate with IT to monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability.
-
Ensure reconciliation, accuracy, and consistency of financial data across systems.
User Support & Training
-
Provide end-user training, onboarding, and ongoing support for Finance teams.
-
Develop training materials, documentation, and user guides.
-
Promote adoption of system capabilities and best practices across users.
Reporting & Analytics Enablement
-
Partner with FP&A teams to deliver reporting, dashboards, and KPI solutions.

Improve reporting automation and reduce manual processes.
Collaboration with IT (Applications Support)
-
Work collaboratively with the Applications Support Services (IT) team to support the ongoing operation, enhancement, and stability of Oracle EPM.

Partner with IT on system configuration, deployments, testing, and issue resolution, ensuring clear separation and alignment of functional and technical responsibilities.

Translate Finance business requirements into system specifications that can be implemented in coordination with IT.

Support joint troubleshooting efforts, contributing functional expertise while leveraging IT's technical and infrastructure capabilities.

Participate in coordinated release management, change control, and system governance processes led by IT.
EPM Centre of Excellence Development

Help establish and operationalize an EPM Centre of Excellence (CoE), including:

Defining system standards, governance, and best practices
-
Creating development and documentation frameworks
-
Standardizing design principles across modules and use cases
-
Enhancing user experience and consistency across the platform
-
Act as a subject matter expert and promote knowledge sharing and capability building across Finance and IT.
Qualifications / Requirements:
-
Bachelor' degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
-
CPA designation (or working towards) strongly preferred.

Minimum 7-10 years of experience in financial systems and/or FP&A environments.

Proven experience with Oracle EPM Cloud (EPBCS/PBCS).
