Kubes Steel Inc. is a growing company “Where Metal Takes Shape” and where we want to shape your career with us.

We are an internationally renowned industrial steel fabricator and steel bending company. Established in 1974, in the Stoney Creek / Hamilton area serving the energy, resources, primary metals, marine, construction, architectural, and environmental industries.

We have an immediate opportunity for a welder:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work in compliance with Kubes Steel Inc. Health & Safety policies and procedures in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its Regulations.
Meet external and internal customer requirements in a timely fashion.
Weld custom made products as set out in work instructions.
Multi-position welding.
Flux-Core Welding.
Tack Welding.
Read blueprints accurately.
Manage multiple tasks and assigned sequences within all tolerances and specifications.
Operate torches, clamping tools and grinders as required.
Post welding check the sub assembly or assembly to ensure all required completed and within acceptable limits.

Qualification and Skill Requirements

Takes pride in satisfying customers’ requirements in a team setting.
Be familiar with welding processes in an ISO environment.
Hold valid Certificate of Qualification welding tickets.
5+ years of welding experience.
5+ years Flux-Core and Multi-position welding experience.
Read blueprints accurately.
High school education or equivalent.
Active tickets preferred
Wage level to be based on relevant work experience.

Shifts * There are multiple shifts ranging from a 5 day operation to 4 - 10 hour shifts. We are currently looking individuals to fill all shift position, days, afternoons and 10 hour shifts.

We offer a competitive benefits package that new employees are eligible for after 3 months with our company including extended health care, dental care and life insurance. After 6 months you will be eligible for a RRSP match.
