Full job description

Northern Canning is a mobile canning company based out of Bolton, ON that packages mainly craft beer, cider, seltzer and other beverages all over southern Ontario. Part of the job requires travelling to the warehouse in Bolton, but other days you may just travel directly to the jobsite if it's closer to your home.

We are currently looking to add a Mobile Canning Technician to the team. The person who fills this role plays a key part in the packaging process and will be travelling in the company truck & trailer, or sometimes in their own vehicle, to job sites and operating the accessory equipment to efficiently package our customer's beverages into cans. We work with over 100 craft beverage producers, integrating packaging with the customer's equipment and ensure a safe and high quality packaging environment.

Responsibilities:

- Operate labeller, depalletizer, date coder and other accessory equipment

- Communicate clearly with Senior Staff or Canning Line Operator about requirements and quality to ensure smooth operation, high quality service and customer satisfaction

- Routine cleaning and sanitization of equipment

- Prepping truck and trailer with materials for each job

- Strongly enforcing quality control measures and accurate statistical tracking

- Working closely with brewery owners, brewers and packaging staff

- Troubleshooting conditions as well as mechanical problems, applying fixes on the fly

Requirements:

- You have a passion for craft beverages, are relatively handy + able and willing to learn some new skills.

- You're a self starter who takes pride in their work and is dedicated to getting the job done right

- Travelling to different craft beverage companies all over the province sounds like a cool perk to you

- Attention to detail; you notice when things are slightly askew and are able to identify irregularities in operation early on

- Reliable access to your own transportation and a clean driving record are a must. Not every shift starts at the warehouse in Bolton, but at least a couple a week do.

- Experience driving a trailer is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
