Rate: $32.54 to $35.39 per hour, varying by position.

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent Position

Schedule: 7-days on, 7-days off rotation with 12-hour workdays

Duties & Responsibilities

Haul Truck Trainee:

Operate rigid-frame haul trucks to transport overburden, waste rock, and coal from the mine, and perform other tasks as required.
Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner, perform pre-trip checks and complete FLHA's on a regular basis.
Ensure adherence to Conuma's workplace policies and standard operating procedures.
Identify and report risks, near misses and incidents with the goal of supporting and developing Conuma’s excellent safety standards.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Steam Bay Attendant:

Wash mobile equipment in the steam bay to prepare for maintenance and repairs.
Operate steam truck to wash mobile equipment to prepare for work performed in the field.
Assist with shop and facility clean up and maintenance.
Maintain and caring for steam bay tools, equipment, and supplies.
Complete duties in a safe and efficient manner, and complete FLHA's on a regular basis.
Ensure adherence to Conuma's workplace policies and standard operating procedures.
Identify and report risks, near misses and incidents with the goal of supporting and developing Conuma’s excellent safety standards.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Labourer:

Perform process plant clean up and maintain the cleanliness of the plant and equipment to a high standard.
Scrape and shovel material from under and around conveyor belts.
Ensure adherence to Conuma's workplace policies and standard operating procedures.
Identify and report risks, near misses and incidents with the goal of supporting and developing Conuma’s excellent safety standards.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

Some high school, college or industry courses in heavy equipment operating combined with on-the-job training, or equivalent experience.
Valid Driver's License

Technical Competencies & Skills

Must be able to work 12-hour day and night shifts; on a 7x7 rotation.
Must be able to communicate in English.
Physically fit with the ability to perform physical labour often at heights.
Proven safety and attendance record.
Willingness to learn.
Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with peers, trainees, and leadership.
Previous heavy equipment operations, labourer or industrial experience is considered an asset.
First Aid/Mine Rescue Training is considered an asset.
