Fondée au printemps 2004, CarpeDiem est une compagnie de production œuvrant dans le secteur du divertissement audiovisuel, principalement dans la catégorie des contenus familiaux. CarpeDiem produit des films et des séries en animation 2D, 3D et stéréoscopique, ainsi que des projets de réalité virtuelle.

Travail au Studio ou à distance depuis la province du Québec, Canada.

Responsabilités

Animer différents types de personnages, d’animaux, d’objets, de décors et d’images.
Créer les animations souhaitées en se basant sur les storyboards, les animatiques et le
layout.
Assurer la continuité entre les plans.
S’assurer que l’animation correspond au style et à la vision du directeur d’animation et du
réalisateur.
Travailler en collaboration avec le directeur d’animation pour déterminer les meilleures
techniques et approches créatives à préconiser.
Exécuter les corrections demandées par le directeur d’animation et par le réalisateur.
S’assurer d’atteindre les objectifs établis et respecter les échéanciers et les livrables.
Favoriser un environnement de travail respectueux et un bon esprit d’équipe.

Compétences requises

Expérience 5-7 ans minimum.
Maitrise de Maya, essentielle.
Bonne compréhension du mouvement, du poids et du timing.
Souci du détail, minutie.
Comprendre et savoir interpréter un storyboard.
Bonne connaissance des techniques d’animation traditionnelles et des principes du
mouvement de personnage, un atout.
Connaissance d’un asset manager tel que Shotgrid, un atout.

Founded in the spring of 2004, CarpeDiem is a production company working in the audiovisual entertainment sector, primarily within the family friendly content sphere. CarpeDiem produces films and series in 2D, 3D and stereoscopic animation, as well as virtual reality projects.

This search is part of our continued growth, while maintaining the desire to remain a human-sized, friendly company that cultivates a caring environment.

Hybrid: Work from the Studio or remotely from the province of Québec, Canada.

Responsibilities:

Animate characters, animals, objects, scenery and images.
Create appropriate animation based on animatics, storyboards and layout.
Ensure continuity between shots.
Ensure that the animation matches the style and vision of the Director and the
Animation Director.
Work in collaboration with the Animation Director to determine the best technical and
creative approaches to pursue.
Execute the corrections requested by the Animation Director and Director.
Meet established objectives and respect timelines and deliverables.
Foster a respectful work environment and good team spirit.

Skills & Qualifications:

5-7 Years' experience required

Proficiency in Maya is essential.
Good understanding of movement, sense of weight and timing.
Attention to detail.
Ability to understand and interpret storyboards.
Good knowledge of traditional animation technics and the principles of character
movement is an asset.
Experience in rigging is an asset.
Knowledge of an asset manager such as Shotgrid is an asset.
