We're looking for a full-time Motion Graphics & 3D Content Designer to join our Burnaby office.
About the Position
The Motion Graphics & 3D Content Designer will own ClearLED's video and motion content end-to-end - from concept through final delivery all while supporting broader marketing and graphic design needs across the company. This is a hands-on creative production role, not a desk-bound design job: the work you make will end up on client proposals, digital billboards, trade show floors, and large-format displays around the world.
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded creative who can do a little bit of everything across video, motion, and 3D: edit videos, build animations, construct simple 3D scenes and product visuals, support proposal graphics, sharpen sales presentation visuals, and turn technical product information into content people actually want to watch.
This person should also understand how marketing supports the sales process. They'll work closely with marketing and sales to create visual assets that explain ClearLED's products, project experience, and competitive edge - clearly, and with style.
Key Responsibilities
· Produce motion graphics, project recap videos, product animations, 3D visuals, and digital content across ClearLED's marketing, sales, and client-facing work.
· Create 3D product visuals, simple environment mockups, animated product demos, and visual simulations for LED displays and architectural projects.
· Support the sales team with proposal visuals, project reference videos, product comparison graphics, animated explainers, and presentation-ready assets.
· Translate technical product features into visual stories that clients, architects, AV integrators, consultants, and stakeholders can immediately understand.
· Work with the Director of Marketing to align creative output with ClearLED's marketing strategy, brand direction, and sales priorities.
· Collaborate with sales, product, and project teams to understand project needs and produce content that drives business development.
· Use AI tools and models to support ideation, image and video generation, content planning, visual enhancement, and workflow efficiency.
· Help organize and maintain ClearLED's digital asset library — project footage, product visuals, video files, 3D files, animation assets, and final deliverables.
· Stay current on trends in motion graphics, AI-assisted content creation, 3D visualization, video production, and large-format display content.
Required Qualifications
· 5+ years of professional experience in motion graphics, video production, 3D design, animation, digital content creation, visual effects, or a related creative role.
· Strong portfolio or demo reel showing motion graphics, video editing, animation, 3D visuals, product visualization, or digital storytelling work.
· Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
· Experience with 3D tools such as Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, Houdini, or similar software.
· Ability to produce polished motion graphics, title animations, product animations, and presentation-ready video content, along with simple but effective 3D visuals, mockups, and scene layouts.
· Hands-on experience using AI tools in a professional creative workflow - e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Runway, Kling, Veo, Adobe Firefly, Photoshop Generative Fill, Stable Diffusion, Flux, or ComfyUI.
· Strong understanding of composition, timing, pacing, lighting, colour, typography, visual hierarchy, and brand consistency.
· Basic understanding of marketing strategy and how creative content supports sales, lead generation, client education, and brand positioning.
· Ability to take direction, understand business priorities, and turn ideas into useful creative assets.
· Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across marketing, sales, product, and project teams.
· Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
· Ability to work full-time from ClearLED's Burnaby office.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience creating content for LED displays, digital signage, media façades, projection, immersive environments, trade shows, or large-format digital screens.
· Experience in technology, architecture, AV, entertainment, retail, manufacturing, lighting, or experiential design.
· Experience supporting sales teams with client-facing visuals, proposal content, product demos, RFP graphics, or business development presentations.
· Basic understanding of screen resolution, aspect ratio, pixel pitch, media playback, and large-format display requirements.
· Photography, videography, or on-site shooting experience is an asset.
· Strong interest in bold, visually arresting creative work.
· Experience with web video, social formatting, YouTube, LinkedIn, and short-form video is an asset.
· Basic copywriting or caption-writing ability is an asset.
· Bilingual English/Mandarin is an asset but not required.
Compensation & Growth
The starting salary range for this position is CAD $65,000–$75,000 per year, depending on experience, portfolio, and fit.
ClearLED is looking for someone who can grow with the company. As the role expands and the candidate demonstrates stronger ownership, creative capability, strategic understanding, and contribution to sales and marketing outcomes, there's room for compensation growth toward CAD $100,000 in the near future.
