Job Summary:

We are currently seeking individuals for the position of Welder at our Winnipeg South branch.

Branch Address: 1510 Clarence Ave, Winnipeg MB R3T 1T6

Our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

Read drawings and measure accurately to confirm product conformance
Welding and tacking of various grades, thicknesses and types of metals
Use various welding equipment and hand tools such as grinder, drills, bandsaw, etc.
Operate an overhead crane and forklift
Assisting at other work centers in the shop as required. This may involve various aspects of metal cutting, forming, and machining.

Education and Skills Required:

Prior experience as a Fitter-Welder
Experience tacking and welding with GMAW, SMAW, FCAW/MCAW and/or GTAW process on various grades, thicknesses, and types of steel.
Should be trade-tested or have certification related to Welding and Fabrication (CWB, Red Seal, etc.)
Safety-conscious and able to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to communicate in English
