Job Description:
Reporting to the Manager, Enrolment Services and Student Success , the incumbent is the primary contact for a diverse population of full-time and part-time students and fulfills multiple responsibilities related to specialized progression supports and guidance while meeting and exceeding student success and retention objectives . The incumbent is required to coordinate and maintain a portfolio of student programs that includes case management processes, analyzing detailed academic records, and communicating a wide variety of information to help facilitate learner success.
In providing high-quality client service, t he incumbent builds relationships with learners through focused outreach and communication supports , as well as student appointments . The incumbent utilizes technology-enabled applications to help plan, develop and deliver focused and self-directed progression and registration services, which relate to learner retention and success .
Working with a n integrated team of Student Success Specialists(s), Registration and Records Officers, Financial Aid and Student Awards Officers , the incumbent supports learners throughout the student lifecycle , from registration to graduation .
Employing a variety of college technology systems and early alerts to monitor, track and create reports the incumbent determine s specific retention supports and contributes to the strategic enrolment management process . Maintaining a personalized and continuous focus on the learner experience is central to the role. This position is responsible for identifying process improvements and recommending new initiatives and strategies.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum three (3) year diploma or degree in Business, Education, Human Resources, Marketing, Public Relations, Social Sciences, Career Development, or any other program with a Cooperative Education component. Equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience may be accepted in place of formal education.
Minimum of three (3) years experience in providing client service and /or general advising for a diverse clientele preferably in an educational setting.
This position requires regular on-site work at Algonquin College’s Woodroffe (Ottawa) Campus.
