Full job description

NexSource Power Inc. is looking for highly motivated 2nd to 3rd year Apprentice Electricians to join our team in Red Deer. NexSource is a privately-owned business with a focus on continuing to build a relevant, dynamic company that provides industry leading value to our current and future customers. We are growing and we need reliable, committed electricians to join our team.

This role is shop-based Monday to Friday, 8hrs/day

The successful candidates must have:

Experience in electrical construction and maintenance within the Oil and Gas sector
Attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
A professional and respectful attitude with a strong customer service focus
Exceptional organizational skills
Effective written and oral communcation skills
Ability to work independently and cohesively within groups
Excellent work history and solid references
A valid driver’s license and a 3-year abstract
All industry required safety tickets including: First Aid/CPR, H2S (Enform/Energy Safety Canada), CSTS (ACSA), CSO (Energy Safety Canada)

Tasks and Responsibilities:

APPRENTICES:

Read engineered drawings to accurately and efficiently install electrical systems
Assembly of power generation systems
Install tray and conduit
Install power distribution and control wiring
Cut in, gland, and terminate teck cables
Adhere to all company and client health and safety guidelines and regulations
Ensure paperwork is completed in a timely and legible fashion; complete QA/QC documentation
Look for opportunities to promote efficiency
Represent Nexsource Power in a positive light
Assist Journeymen in the performance of all electrical construction and maintenance field work
Complete shop duties as requested; clean up, organization, parts, yard, trucks etc.
Ask questions, learn, be open to growth and attend technical training as required
