AGS Automotive Systems is a full-service automotive supplier specializing in the manufacture and supply of complex high value-add automotive metal components, including in particular front and rear impact assemblies, principally for pick-ups and the heavy truck market. BASIC FUNCTION:
Reporting to the Shipping / Receiving Supervisor, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for, but not limited to, receive incoming material from suppliers and ship parts to customers. Ensures Shipping/Receiving documentation is completed.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Adheres to Procedures and Instructions.

Check lift truck at start of each shift using the driver's daily checklist inspection form. Report malfunctions or repair items to supervisor.

Locate parts to be shipped, ensure they are approved by final audit, weigh count if not previously complete and tag container to specifications.

Record each container type, part number, count and weight on truck loading sheet. Total weights and counts when complete.

Load parts on trailer, when loaded, complete and initial loading sheets and return to the shipping office.

Check packing slip in-coming material against purchase order to ensure material is required.

Enter information from packing slips into computer system.

Unload trucks as required ensuring product type and counts are as stated on packing slip. Place product in designated area. Stamp date and sign inbound packing slip. Make out substitute packing slip if no packing slip available. Note and record any damage to goods when received.

Use crane to unload and load trailers (steel, dies, etc.)

Must ensure that trailers are properly chocked prior to loading/unloading. Complete and distribute related paperwork.

Place product into inventory as required. Inventory of stock to be taken as required.

Deliver received goods to various departmentspersons.

Maintain a safe and tidy work area at all times. Be fully knowledgeable with safe work practices and adhere to same.

Completes shipping / receiving documentation accurately and legibly. Make out reports as required.

Ensure the standards of Section 28 of the OHSA are met.

Perform any other related duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing facility.
Ability to read and write English
Rate of Pay:
Production Operator base rate: $19.50/hr plus skillset rate (while in training and fully trained): +$3.80/hr = $23.30/hr
Shift premiums: +$0.90/hr (afternoon shift); +$1.10/hr (night shift).
