Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and are eager to learn and grow within the culinary field.

Duties

Prepare and handle food produce according to established recipes and safety standards, maintaining high levels of food quality
Ability to work all stations in the kitchen effectively and safely, including fryers, grills and ovens
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to food safety regulations
Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortage to management
Capacity to work well under pressure, liaising with team members to meet production schedules and timelines for service periods

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A passion for hospitality and providing excellent customer service.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: From $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: Full-time no less than 35 hours per week. Part-time to be discussed.
