About the Role

We are looking for a high-energy, professional Medical Office Assistant / Receptionist to join our busy Family Physician’s practice. This is a hybrid role that serves as the heartbeat of our clinic. You will be responsible for providing a seamless front-desk experience while supporting our clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Operations:

Patient Coordination: Welcome patients with a professional demeanor, perform necessary pre-screening, vital signs and manage check-in/out.
Communications: Manage multi-line phones, schedule/confirm appointments, and complete patient call-backs efficiently.
Financials: Process payments for non-Alberta Health Care visits and uninsured services.
Clinic Flow: Maintain a calm, courteous environment during peak hours.

Administrative & Clinical Support:

EMR Management: Work within patient charts to ensure all tasks, indexing, and charting are documented with 100% accuracy.
Office Maintenance: Manage faxing, document indexing, and ordering of medical/office supplies.
Clinical Variety: Support a diverse range of services, including basic vital signs checks.
Team Support: Perform other administrative tasks as assigned to ensure clinic efficiency.
Assist physicians and contribute to smooth daily operations
Maintain and update Electronic medical record
Maintain strict privacy and patient confidentiality

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2 year experience in a medical office setting is required.
Technical Skills: Previous experience with Medical EMRs is a significant asset and will be prioritized.
Education: MOA Certification is preferred but not required for candidates with strong equivalent experience.
Core Competencies: * Proven ability to multitask and remain professional under pressure.
Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility: Ability to adapt efficiently in a changing environment; availability for a mix of weekday and weekend shifts is required.
