We are now recruiting for an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright at our Winnipeg, MB production facility. Millwrights that have completed Level 3 are welcome to apply.
The successful candidate will have availability to work day shifts from Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed.
- Must have own hand tools and tool chest.
- Must be a red seal journeyman or equivalent.
- Must have basic electrical skills to troubleshoot repairs.
- Must be able to repair pumps, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, mixers and extruders.
- Being able to make repair welds is a requirement.
- Must be comfortable working independently.
- Must be clean shaven for respirator use.
- Must have transportation as this location does not have regular bus service.
Wage range for this role is negotiable depending on experience.
Candidates should have their own set of tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repair all machines, maintain building maintenance and troubleshoot breakdowns on the fly.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly checks according to preventative maintenance schedule of machinery and equipment.
- Maintain building and grounds, including: valves, pipes, lift trucks, lights, etc.
- Install, maintain and repair process equipment within manufacturer’s specifications.
- Ensure that department safety standards are maintained.
- Lock-out and quarantine unsafe or unserviceable machine or equipment until it can be restored to a safe and serviceable condition.
- Liaise with outside repair services.
- Other duties dependent upon operational requirements.
- Weekend work as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a certified millwright with 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Capable of lifting up to 70 lb regularly
- Strong mechanical skill set
- Computer proficient - familiarly with CMMS and Microsoft programs
- Able to read and understand schematics
- Able to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits
- Capable of welding, troubleshooting electrical issues
- Familiar with pneumatics, hydraulics, building maintenance
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Successfully pass a mechanical aptitude test

The essential function of this position involves physical duties, including the regular lifting, carrying, and moving of paint containers and related products weighing up to 70 pounds individually or with appropriate lifting equipment when required.
