Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced A&W Shift Supervisor in Kemptville to lead our team during daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing restaurant operations, and maintaining a positive work environment. The Shift Supervisor will play a key role in upholding the restaurant’s reputation for quality and service excellence.

Duties

Oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
Supervise and motivate team members, including the training new staff to foster a collaborative team environment.
Ensure food preparation, cooking, and serving meet quality standards while maintaining food safety and handling protocols.
Manage POS systems for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
Monitor customer service levels, addressing any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations.
Assist with food industry best practices, including food handling, preparation, and hospitality standards.
Lead by example in demonstrating leadership qualities such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Conduct regular safety checks and ensure all team members follow food safety procedures.

Experience

Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry is preferred. (at least 1 year)
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling is essential.
Experience with restaurant management systems such as POS or similar platforms is desirable.
Previous roles involving customer service, serving, or hospitality are advantageous.
Leadership experience in managing teams within fast-paced environments is highly valued.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is required.
Additional experience in hotel or barista roles can be considered an asset for this supervisory position.
