Del Property Management (DPM) is a trusted leader in residential condominium property management with over 56 years of experience. We manage over 87,000 condominium homes across 300 communities in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Position Summary
The Yardi Specialist owns how DEL uses Yardi. The role covers core financials in Voyager and Elevate, the full Procure to Pay suite, and budgeting, fixed assets and analytics. One person holds the configuration, the controls, the reporting and the support queue across all three.
Automation is central, not an add-on. DEL runs roughly 400 condominium corporations on a lean accounting team. The Specialist is expected to find manual work and remove it: ETL templates instead of keying, scheduled reports instead of ad hoc pulls, automated bank reconciliation instead of line by line matching, workflow rules instead of email chasing. Every recurring task is a candidate.
The role is hands on. The Specialist configures the system, fixes what breaks, trains the people who use it, and reports on what the data says. It reports to the Business Analyst and works closely with Corporate Accounting and Operations.
Systems in Scope

Payscan, Bill Pay, Vendor Café. Purchase order and invoice workflows, approval routing, EFT vendor payments, vendor master governance, EFT fee reconciliation.
Budgeting, assets and analytics
Budgeting and forecasting cycles, fixed assets, job cost and capital projects, Elevate dashboards, custom and scheduled report writing.
Automation across all three
ETL template design, scheduler reports, ABR tuning, workflow rules, Excel and Power Query models, Power Automate flows, API and data extracts where available.
Resident and Board portal modules (Condo Café, maintenance, CAM) sit outside this role today. The Specialist supports them only where they touch financial data.
Where the Role Sits
- Reports to the Business Analyst, Yardi. Takes priority direction from the Business Analyst and the Director, Business Strategy and Transformation.
- Sole hands on owner of Yardi configuration for the areas in scope. Escalates to Yardi Support and manages those tickets to closure.
- Partners with Corporate Accounting on close, audit, EFT and reconciliation. Partners with Operations on approval routing, portfolio changes and new building takeovers.
- Works alongside any P2P project resources during rollout phases, and absorbs steady state ownership when those phases end.

System Support and Troubleshooting (25%)
- Hold a 24 hour response SLA across all Yardi questions from Accounting, Operations, Property Managers, Administrators, Boards and vendors.
- Resolve issues across purchase orders, invoice workflows, approval routing, vendor onboarding, Vendor Café access, permissions and logins.
- Fix accounting corrections: posting and date changes, failed EFT withdrawals, one time EFT deletions, variable charge issues, NSF items, timing differences, duplicate deposits, marry and prepay, offsets in future periods.
- Triage, document and escalate complex cases to Yardi Support, then track them to resolution.
- Document defects and report behaviour changes after every release or patch.
- Track ticket patterns and use them to drive the automation and training backlog rather than absorbing repeat work.
Automation, Reporting and Analytics (20%)
This is where the role earns its return. The Specialist is measured on manual work removed.
- Build and maintain ETL templates for renewals, special assessments, journal entries, budget loads and mass charge changes.
- Own Automated Bank Reconciliation (ABR): tune matching rules, clear exceptions, expand coverage across corporations.
- Build and maintain scheduler reports so month end packages, variance reports and Board packages generate without manual pulls.
- Own YSR reporting and custom report writing. Build Elevate dashboards for Accounting, Operations and leadership.
- Automate outside Yardi where Yardi cannot reach: Excel and Power Query models, Power Automate flows, SharePoint and Teams workflows, scheduled data extracts.
- Audit recurring manual processes, quantify the hours they consume, and propose the automation with a clear before and after.
- Test every automation before release and monitor it after. An unmonitored automation is a future correction.
- Maintain a documented automation register: what runs, when, who owns it, and what breaks if it fails.
Accounting Operations, Close and Audit Support (20%)
- Support month end close: out of balance reconciliations, incorrect A/R and A/P entries, posting corrections.
- Prepare blue transfer and intercompany entries.
- Prepare auditor packages and deliver them securely. Provide the evidence trails, ledgers and logs auditors request.
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles: template setup, budget loads, variance reporting, prior year comparatives.
- Maintain fixed asset records, job cost and capital project tracking in the system.
- Lead EFT vendor payments from Corporation bank accounts and confirm every transaction records correctly.
- Reconcile EFT fees by vendor and work with Corporate Accounting to invoice vendors quarterly.
- Keep the chart of accounts and financial mapping consistent across all corporations.
Configuration, Controls and Security (15%)
- Configure and maintain workflows: purchase orders, invoicing, approval chains, routing structures.
- Maintain least privilege permissions. Add and deactivate users as employees join, move and leave.
- Enforce IR and property visibility controls so users see only their portfolio.
- Own vendor master governance: one primary record per vendor, correct codes, current banking details, Vendor Audit tracking, duplicate cleanup.
- Update approval chains and routing as portfolios, managers and departments change.
- Validate system integrity through upgrades, patches, new feature releases and configuration changes. Test before, verify after.
- Maintain the Vendor Café and Elevate integration and resolve mapping issues.
Training, Documentation and Enablement (10%)
- Build and maintain SOPs, guides, quick reference sheets and video tutorials for every core workflow.
- Deliver training onsite and virtually to Property Managers, Administrators, Accounting staff, Board members and vendors.
- Onboard new employees and retrain staff moving into new roles. Refresh Boards as they turn over.
- Maintain FAQ channels in Teams and knowledge content in SharePoint so users can self serve.
- Publish release notes and short "what changed" briefs after upgrades and new features.
- Update documentation within one week of any system change.
Projects, Implementations and New Building Onboarding (10%)
- Set up new corporations: chart of accounts, workflow activation, routing, configuration, user onboarding.
- Support module rollouts and upgrades with configuration, testing, data validation and training.
- Perform data migration, scrubbing and validation for takeovers and new module launches.
- Support enterprise transformation initiatives with system expertise and data.
- Stay adaptable as priorities, upgrades and portfolio size change.
Qualifications and Experience
Required
- Post secondary education in accounting, business, information systems or a related field. An accounting designation or progress toward one is an asset.
- Four or more years hands on in Yardi Voyager and Elevate as a configuring or system administrator, not only as an end user.
- Working knowledge of full cycle accounting: general ledger, A/P, A/R, bank reconciliation, EFT, budgeting, month end and year end close.
- Proven automation delivery. Able to name specific manual processes they removed and quantify the hours saved.
- Strong ETL experience: template design, group configuration, CSV cleanup, charge versus journal imports.
- Report writing in Yardi (YSR or equivalent) and dashboard building in Elevate.
- Advanced Excel: Power Query, lookups, pivot tables, data cleanup at volume.
- Experience configuring approval workflows, user permissions and routing.
- Able to hold a 24 hour response SLA while managing competing priorities.
Preferred
- Property management or condominium industry experience. Ontario condominium operations is a strong asset.
- Payscan, Bill Pay or Vendor Café implementation experience.
- Power Automate, Power BI, SQL or scripting (Python, VBA) for data work outside Yardi.
- Experience with Yardi APIs or scheduled data extracts to other systems.
- Exposure to audit support, internal controls and segregation of duties.
- Experience on a system implementation or business transformation project.

Timeframe Expected outcome
First 90 days
Knows the current Yardi configuration end to end across all three areas. Handles support tickets independently. Has documented the top ten manual processes with the hours each consumes.
Six months
Meets the 24 hour SLA on 95% or more of tickets. At least three automations live and monitored. Vendor master clean with no duplicate primary records. ABR coverage expanded with a measured drop in manual matching.
Twelve months
Repeat ticket volume down measurably against the six month baseline. Month end close needs no rescue support. Board and month end reporting packages generate on schedule with no manual assembly. Audit packages delivered on time with no follow up requests. A documented automation register in place.
Ongoing
Documentation current within one week of any system change. Zero access or permission exceptions found in review. A live automation backlog with the next three items costed in hours saved.
Working Conditions
- Full time, based at the Toronto head office. Travel to managed properties for training and go-live support.
- Occasional evening work to train Board members, who typically meet outside business hours.
- Higher workload at month end, quarter end, budget season and during audit and rollout periods.
- Some after hours availability during upgrades and go-live weekends.
- Sole system owner. Coverage during absence must be planned in advance with the Business Analyst.
