Night Owl Bird Hospital is looking for compassionate, dependable people to join our growing veterinary team.
We are an avian-focused veterinary hospital in Vancouver providing medical, surgical, emergency and ongoing care exclusively for birds. Our team works with everything from companion parrots and small birds to complex medical and emergency cases.
Our greatest current need is for Veterinary Assistants, but we are also interested in hearing from experienced veterinary receptionists, Registered Veterinary Technologists and veterinarians who may be interested in joining our practice.
Because we are a specialized hospital, team members receive significant exposure to avian medicine and the opportunity to develop skills that are difficult to obtain in a traditional small-animal practice.
Veterinary Assistants
Candidates with previous veterinary hospital, animal-care or veterinary assistant experience.
Veterinary Receptionists
People with veterinary reception experience who are comfortable working in a busy medical environment, communicating with concerned pet owners, managing appointments and supporting a clinical team.
Registered Veterinary Technologists
RVTs interested in expanding their skills in avian medicine, emergency care, anesthesia, diagnostics, hospitalization and advanced patient care.
Veterinarians
Veterinarians with an interest in avian or exotic medicine, including veterinarians who would like to further develop their avian experience.

Previous avian experience is an asset but is not required for every position.
Veterinary experience is strongly preferred for all roles.

Our hospital sees routine appointments as well as complicated medical, surgical and emergency cases. This provides our team with an unusual opportunity to gain extensive hands-on experience with avian patients.

Schedules and compensation will depend on the position, experience and availability of the successful candidate. Applicants with open availability will be prioritized
Eligible employees working at least 30 hours per week may qualify for extended health and dental benefits following the applicable eligibility period.
