Full job description

Role: Data Migration Engineer
Rate: Up to $130,000 per year
Location: Remote, Canada based
Structure: Full time

Must-Have Skills

3–5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, Data Migration, or Data Integration
Strong understanding of end-to-end ETL methodologies (Extract Transform Load)
Advanced SQL skills for querying, profiling, validating, and troubleshooting datasets
Experience working with APIs, relational databases, flat files, and large datasets
Strong understanding of:

Data mapping
Data transformation
Data validation
Data reconciliation
Data cleansing
Schema mapping
Comfortable debugging unfamiliar source systems and identifying data quality issues
Experience building repeatable, reusable migration processes rather than one-off scripts
Comfortable working independently in fast-paced startup environments
Ideal Skills Required:

Python
JavaScript / TypeScript (Node.js)
JSON
Version control (Git)
Automation-first mindset
Experience building reusable ETL pipelines
Familiarity with telecom, OSS/BSS, CRM, or billing data models
Experience supporting production cutovers, delta loads, rollback strategies, and reconciliation
Comfortable leveraging AI tools to accelerate data exploration and validation
