Prep Cook – Full-Time & Part-Time
Location: Halifax
Opening July 2026 – Prep for something fresh!
We’re looking for detail-oriented, dependable Prep Cooks to help set the stage for an exceptional food experience. If you love working with fresh ingredients and take pride in doing things right, this could be the perfect fit.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Preparing ingredients for daily service, including chopping, portioning, marinating, fish cutting, and seafood processing
- Assisting with basic cooking tasks and supporting the line during busy service periods
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace, including adherence to sanitation requirements
- Operating knives, saws, and other kitchen and processing equipment safely and effectively
- Performing basic equipment maintenance and sharpening knives to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Helping with inventory management and receiving deliveries
- Working closely with chefs and cooks to keep the kitchen running smoothly
- Demonstrating strong knife skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to food quality and safety
- Showing interest in seafood quality, food safety, sustainability, and operational excellence
- Bringing a positive attitude and a collaborative approach to teamwork
Knife Skills Matter:
This role requires strong knife skills—you’ll be working with fresh seafood and produce daily, and precision, safety, and speed are key.
What We’re Looking For:

Some kitchen experience is great, but we’re happy to train the right person
- Solid knife skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions
- Interest in seafood, sustainability, and local food culture
