Full job description

Our client is looking for an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to join their team in St. Albert, Alberta. This role supports day-to-day procurement activities, including purchasing workflows, order and invoice resolution, and service to internal teams and suppliers. The ideal candidate is an organized, solutions-focused procurement professional with hands-on Coupa experience, strong purchasing knowledge, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Support employees and operational teams with requisitions, purchase orders, receipts, and purchasing workflows.
Respond to supplier and internal inquiries regarding orders, purchasing activity, and account setup.
Investigate and resolve invoice, PO, and receiving discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
Perform procurement data entry and maintain accurate information in company systems and spreadsheets.
Assist with vendor onboarding and maintaining supplier information.
Provide day-to-day Coupa troubleshooting and user support for purchasing transactions.
Coordinate with estimators, field teams, and Commercial Operations to ensure purchasing activities run efficiently.
Support high-volume procurement activities, including system issues and user guidance.

2–3 years of hands-on Coupa experience in purchasing or procurement support is required.
Experience with purchase orders, requisitions, receiving, and invoice follow-up in a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer service and communication skills with internal teams and vendors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; working knowledge of Outlook and Word.
Familiarity with ERP and procurement systems.
Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
Great Plains or IBM AS/400 experience is an asset.
Solutions-focused with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
