Job Title: Sales Manager – Glass Products
Location: Richmond, BC (Hybrid – Office plus travel in North America)

Compensation: CAD $75,000 – $85,000 / year + Performance Bonus
About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious, results-driven Sales Manager with direct experience in the glass industry to join our growing North American team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth across our flat glass and processed architectural glass product lines.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in an autonomous environment, possesses strong technical product knowledge, and excels at acquiring new accounts, managing order processing, and coordinating production arrangements directly with overseas factory teams to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Client Management: Proactively identify, target, and acquire new commercial clients, glass processors, fabricators, and distributors. Conduct regular in-person client visits, sales presentations, and nurture strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Product Sales: Drive sales for float glass and value-added architectural glass products, including Laminated Glass, Insulated Glass Units (IGU), Low-E Coated Glass, Tempered Glass, and Mirrors.
- Market Research & Intelligence: Conduct market research to identify potential customers, track competitor pricing, assess industry trends, and expand market share.
- Order Processing & Factory Coordination: Handle order processing, enter purchasing and order data accurately into internal systems, and actively coordinate order arrangements, production schedules, and specifications directly with factory production teams in Asia.
- Shipment & Delivery Monitoring: Monitor the delivery of shipments from overseas production plants, communicate with logistics teams, and keep clients regularly updated on order status and transit timelines.
- Problem & Issue Solving: Proactively address and resolve customer inquiries, quality concerns, delivery delays, and operational challenges to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Industry Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of proven sales experience within the glass manufacturing, processing, or distribution industry.
- Product Knowledge: Strong technical familiarity with float glass and architectural glass products (Laminated, Low-E, IGU, Tempered).
- Autonomy & Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage sales targets with minimal supervision, and resolve complex operational or supply-chain issues effectively.
- Language Skills: Professional fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Mandarin is a strong asset to facilitate seamless order coordination with Asia-based manufacturing plants.
- Travel: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel in North America for client visits and market development.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
