Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and quality meet established standards
Develop innovative menus that reflect current food trends while maintaining operational efficiency
Manage food handling procedures to adhere to strict food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Coordinate with restaurant management to ensure smooth daily operations, including inventory control and supply ordering
Train staff on food safety protocols, proper cooking techniques, and customer service excellence
Monitor kitchen performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvements to optimize productivity and quality

Skills

Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive food preparation and cooking expertise across diverse cuisines
Strong team management abilities with excellent leadership qualities
Deep understanding of restaurant management principles including staffing, scheduling, and operational workflows
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
Experience in food service operations such as bartending or serving is advantageous
Exceptional communication skills to effectively coordinate with staff and management
