The Role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support complex, high-precision manufacturing programs. This is a hands-on programming role supporting 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC mills and CNC lathes, with heavy use of Mastercam. You’ll work closely with the Plant Manager, machinists, and engineering to deliver accurate, efficient programs for production.

Practical programming test (5-axis CNC + Mastercam proficiency)Key Responsibilities
- Convert CAD data into CNC programs using offline programming software (Mastercam)
- Modify designs and machining strategies based on shop floor requirements
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis mills and lathes
- Support machine operators with program clarifications and inspection guidance
- Create setup sheets and inspection documentation
- Assist with fixture design and machining strategies for new products
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to meet production deadlines
- Train setup personnel and operators as needed
- Maintain compliance with all Health & Safety standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years CAD/CAM programming experience in a production manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with Mastercam (required)
- Experience programming 5-axis CNC machines (required)
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
- Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, tooling, feeds & speeds
- Familiarity with Heidenhain and Fanuc controllers
- Experience with CNC mills and lathes (setup knowledge strongly preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment
- Flexibility to support overtime when required

- Exposure to lean manufacturing principles
- Background in regulated manufacturing (aerospace, medical, defense)
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate: CA$38.00 – CA$45.00
