Company Overview
The Red Deer Native Friendship Society (RDNFS) is an Indigenous agency dedicated to providing culturally based supports and services to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous community members. Our focus is on empowering individuals to lead productive, fulfilling lives within a supportive environment.

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Case Manager specializing in Homelessness Prevention. In this position, you will work directly with individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness, offering support, guidance, and resources to help them achieve stability.

Specifications

We recognize the immeasurable value that representation and shared lived experience have in properly supporting those accessing this program. As such, qualified First Nation, Inuit, and Metis candidates will be given preference. We encourage these individuals to self-identify in their application.

Responsibilities

Conduct interviews with participants to assess their needs, risks, and goals related to homelessness prevention
Work with participants to develop personalized action plans that outline steps toward housing stability and self-sufficiency
Provide ongoing support, coaching, and advocacy to clients navigating complex social services systems
Maintain accurate case records through detailed data entry using Homeless Individuals and Families Information System (HIFIS)
Collaborate with other friendship centre programs as well as community partners, housing agencies, and service providers to coordinate resources and facilitate participant access to necessary supports
Monitor participant progress regularly, adjusting plans as needed to ensure positive outcomes.

Qualifications

Post secondary education in social work or related field
Experience working in the Indigenous community
Proven experience in case management within social services or related fields,
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,)
Experience conducting interviews, data collection, and documentation with sensitivity and professionalism
Strong time management skills paired with excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Knowledge of local social service systems, housing programs, and community resources is highly desirable
Drivers License and own vehicle
