ABOUT THE POSITION:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President, Strategic Partnerships is a senior strategic leader responsible for driving growth of new partnerships, markets and initiatives across CATC’s national network of outpatient clinics, inpatient treatment centres, and counselling services. This role identifies emerging market needs, cultivates referent relationships, and leads cross-functional teams to execute business development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in the healthcare industry with an understanding of the provider landscape, payers and models and system innovation, combined with a strong track record of leading growth initiatives in complex, highly regulated environments.
YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership & Growth
Develop and execute the organization’s strategy to achieve short and long‑term growth objectives.
Identify and evaluate market trends, policy changes, reimbursement models, and competitive landscape to inform business strategy.
Lead strategic planning initiatives focused on service expansion, new service models, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and joint ventures.
Partnerships & Relationship Management
Build and manage executive‑level relationships with health systems, payers, provider groups, technology partners, suppliers, and other industry stakeholders.
Represent the organization at key industry events, conferences, and consortia to expand visibility and influence.
Lead contract negotiations, partnership agreements, and strategic alliances to drive growth and innovation.
Business Development Execution
Oversee the development of proposals, RFP responses, financial models, and business cases for new opportunities.
Collaborate with clinical, operational, finance, and compliance teams to ensure feasibility and alignment of new initiatives.
Drive the commercialization of new services and/or solutions within the healthcare system.
Lead marketing strategies to build awareness and enable referrals based on partnerships and market outreach strategies
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and mentor the business development team, establishing clear goals, performance metrics, and accountability.
Work closely with finance, legal, HR, and operations to align business development activities across the enterprise.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision‑making.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field preferred.
10+ years of progressive business development experience in the healthcare industry.
Proven success in creating and executing growth strategies at the executive level.
Experience negotiating high-value contracts and partnerships with healthcare entities.
Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, reimbursement models, and market dynamics.
Experience leading teams in a high-growth or transformative environment.
Demonstrated success collaborating with health system providers to build and provide solutions to healthcare needs aligned with provincial healthcare objectives.

Founded in 1995, Canadian Addiction Treatment Centres (CATC) operates three inpatient addiction treatment centres, a national network of more than 70 outpatient substance use disorder treatment clinics and specialty pharmacies in Canada.
