Norland Industrial provides project management, construction management, and skilled labour for the installation and maintenance of specialized mechanical equipment and associated structural steel. We are looking for Project & Operations Coordinator who will be responsible for the seamless integration of field personnel management, project administration, and support the business operations overall. This position acts as a critical liaison between the project execution team, field crews, and the administrative office. The role will ensure that site construction crews are properly allocated, project financial documentation is accurate, and safety compliance is maintained throughout the project lifecycle from job creation to final close-out.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Coordinate daily dispatch, scheduling, and allocation of field employees based on requests from Project Managers and Superintendents to support efficient project execution.

Maintain and manage field crew call lists, coordinate pre-dispatch orientations, and in collaboration with P&C recruit union employees and labour subcontractors as required.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with crew members and the USW union while liaising with union representatives regarding workforce matters and compliance requirements.

Maintain field employee records including certifications, performance tracking, disciplinary documentation, and training renewals.

Collaborate with P&C and Safety teams to support onboarding, orientation, and completion of new hire documentation.

Administer project procurement activities including creating purchase requisitions and purchase orders, receiving materials, collecting packing slips, and coordinating with vendors and yard operations.

Support Project Managers with budgeting, cost tracking, billing administration, proposal preparation, and monitoring project-related expenses and invoices.

Enter, review, and maintain project information within systems such as Infor LN, Bid2Win, FDT Pro, and Concur to ensure accurate project administration and reporting.

Review and approve field logs, labour entries, overtime, allowances, and timesheets in compliance with union agreements and company procedures.

Track labour, material, and equipment costs while maintaining organized project documentation and preparing draft submissions for client approvals.

Coordinate materials, equipment, mobilization, demobilization, and site services to support field operations and project readiness.

Prepare and maintain Foreman binders, daily safety binders, SDS documentation, exposure control plans, and other site-specific safety records.

Verify employee certifications and safety tickets are current and coordinate required training for expiring certifications.

Assess returning equipment for damage, ensure accurate documentation is maintained, and support overall site administration and safety compliance activities.
Qualifications & Skills:

2–3 years in a similar dispatch, operations or project coordination role, preferably in an industrial construction environment.

Degree or diploma in business, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Spectrum, Concur, LN, Bid to Win, FDT pro, Sitedocs).

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to remain professional in high-pressure situations.

Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to balance competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Compensation:
The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical starting salary range of $77,500 to $90,400 per annum with 40 hours week requirement. Variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate's qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
