Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, food preparation expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a key member of our restaurant management team, the Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food service. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with restaurant experience and a dedication to culinary excellence to grow within a vibrant hospitality environment.

Duties

Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety standards
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision and creativity, maintaining consistency in presentation and taste
Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
Manage food inventory, order supplies, and minimize waste while maintaining quality standards
Lead and motivate kitchen staff, providing training and guidance on food preparation, cooking techniques, and service standards
Serve as a role model for team management by fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork
Monitor cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health codes
Assist in onboarding new team members and conducting performance evaluations

Requirements

Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, with demonstrated leadership skills
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry best practices
Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling procedures
Experience in restaurant management or kitchen supervision preferred
Excellent team management abilities with a focus on hospitality and service excellence
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Solid understanding of kitchen operations, including inventory control and menu development
Exceptional communication skills to coordinate effectively with staff and management
Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to delivering high-quality food service
