The Granite Club is looking for a full time Member Services Night Supervisor who will be responsible for supervising all over-night Club activities as the manager on duty. This position represents Senior Management to Members, Guests, Staff, Contractors and visitors to the Club and acts as a communication liaison between all departments.
The Night Supervisor is required to manage multiple priorities and act in a variety of capacities including Club security patrols, telephone operation and access control. This role is responsible for upholding all aspects of the Club policies and guidelines for service, security and health & safety and for providing the highest levels of professional and courteous Member Service.

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform security patrols of the Club premises and provide access control for staff, contractors and any deliveries; challenge unfamiliar persons entering the building
- Monitor CCTV security cameras for all areas of the Club when at switchboard
- Complete nightly shift report, incident, accident and infraction reports
- Responsible for leading emergency response to all emergency situations (Fire, Police, Ambulance)
- Supervise the overnight Club operation and provide support to all Staff and Contractors as required
- Report physical deficiencies, cleanliness and safety concerns.
- Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service.
- Maintain Granite Club standards, processes & procedures
- Unlock and lock doors in all sections following the Club’s timetable and ensure Club has been vacated accordingly at beginning of shift or after functions have ended.
- Maintain key control as needed.
- Occasionally required to place a service call for snow removal and salting Perform regular fire extinguisher and emergency sound system quality checks.
- Log all Lost and Found items in the Found register and store accordingly.
- Assist Members with Lost & Found queries and Letters & Parcels.
- Record any unauthorized vehicles parked in the Club overnight Ensure Club sections are locked and / or opened as per schedule.
- Review daily events to be knowledgeable of daily functions; provide personalized direction to visitors and Guests when possible.
- Receive and deliver newspapers
- Use a two-way radio to liaise with Housekeeping Lead, Night Tennis Maintenance, and On-call maintenance person
- Knowledge of switchboard operation; receiving and forwarding calls; using paging system
- Fully knowledgeable of House Rules and emergency procedures
- Update tennis courts status line during appropriate seasons
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Previous shift leadership experience in the hospitality sector is an asset
- Must be a positive, organized and service oriented leader; previous administrative and front-line experience an asset
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications is required
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Proficient verbal and written English skills
- A valid ‘G’ driver’s license is an asset.
- Current First Aid, CPR and AED certified; EWP & WHMIS training an asset
- Hospitality Diploma or Degree an asset
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to respond to Member needs and unpredictability, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Highly mature, responsible, reliable and able to work cohesively as part of a team
- Must be flexible in terms of working hours (this is an overnight position)
- Night audit and/or overnight security/concierge experience an asset
- Flexible to work variable shifts; evenings, weekends and holidays
Compensation
The hourly rate for this position is $30.33 per hour
