Lumenus Community Services is looking for a Clinical Supervisor, Autism Services. The Clinical Supervisor leads and supervises a team of instructors delivering behaviour services based on Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). They will ensure effective operation of Autism Services through clinical supervision and support for clients and their families in matters related to behavioural interventions at home and in the community.As a member of the Lumenus Management Team, the Clinical Supervisor, Autism Services is responsible for implementing and monitoring the Agency’s Autism Services strategic plan as it relates to the program’s purpose and is responsible for the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the program.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Clinical Responsibilities

Program development, implementation and monitoring
Conduct functional and behavioural assessments
Develop and /or approve individual treatment programs for clients
Design and write clinical programs as relevant to role
Participate in the treatment planning process
Build and foster strong team development and cohesion
Conduct on-site supervision of direct service delivery
Ensure the clinical program is delivered according to prescribed standards of service and clinical practice
Provide training for parents related to behavioural intervention at home and in the community
Assist in the delivery of Family Support Services
Train, coach, supervise and evaluate instructors/direct reports
Support ongoing training and professional development of instructors/direct reports
Contribute to effective cross-sector linkages

Administrative Responsibilities

Carry out administrative functions in support of service delivery
ADP reporting
Provide administrative supervision to a team of instructors/direct reports
Work with the Director in hiring staff
Monitor performance standards and complete ongoing learning plans and performance appraisals
Adhere to professional standards of service consistent with legislative requirements, manager directives and expectations
Prepare and submit accurate, timely service statistics as required.
Enter client information into agency Client Information System in a timely and accurate manner
Ensure service targets are met (initial and final reports completed, clients served, direct service hours and positive clinical outcomes for clients)
Ensure Director in completing serious occurrence and incident reports as needed in a timely manner and monitors incident reports
Follow the current Ministerial Guidelines in reporting serious occurrences; duty to report guidelines and training staff.
Approve and monitor financial expenditure within established parameters.
Ensure adherence to agency policies and procedures and practices.
Complete and sign-off of time sheets and approve service-related expenses for staff.
Schedule and deploy staff ensuring coverage for sickness, vacations, professional development, etc.
Implement relevant program evaluation processes that ensure the program is meeting expected outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Must be registered and in good standing, and authorized for autonomous practice with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario
Master’s degree or diploma in a related field with current clinical expertise and knowledge of child development and autism spectrum disorders.
1 to 3 years’ clinical supervision experience overseeing children and or youth with autism and families, or relevant experience
Must have a strong understanding of typical/atypical child development
Knowledge of relevant tools related to scope of position including clinical, technological and assessments.
Experience in supervising employees is preferred
Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and administrative skills
Demonstrate superior English communication skills both oral and written.
Fluency in more than one language is considered an asset and proficiency in French is preferred
Demonstrate the ability to engage in respectful interactions with others and address situations in ways that respect diverse backgrounds and experiences.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening police check

Access to reliable transportation to travel to various work sites within the GTA

Able to work in-person, across sites, and flexible for evenings/weekends
