Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Café Manager to lead our bustling café operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety are maintained in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Duties

Supervise daily café operations, including food preparation, serving, and cleaning procedures
Oversee food handling and ensure compliance with food safety standards
Manage team members through interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Handle cash transactions accurately using Micros POS systems and perform cash handling duties
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally
Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships
Enforce health and safety regulations within the kitchen and dining areas
Lead by example in hospitality, food industry standards, and restaurant management practices
Coordinate with kitchen staff on food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met
Monitor cleanliness and organization of the café environment

Experience

Proven supervising or team management experience in a food service or restaurant setting
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
Previous restaurant management experience preferred; hotel or barista experience is a plus
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the hospitality industry
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating welcoming atmospheres
Experience in interviewing potential team members and managing restaurant operations within the food industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
